Chattanooga wins 7th straight, cruises past Wofford 79-63
CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. -- Tre' McLean scored 21 points, and Justin Tuoyo added 20 points and blocked five shots to lead Chattanooga to a 79-63 victory on Thursday night for its seventh-straight win.
McLean was 8 of 10 form the floor and Tuoyo finished on 6-of-8 shooting and made 8 of 9 free throws. Chuck Ester added 12 points for Chattanooga (20-3, 9-1 Southern Conference), which shot 58 percent from the field.
Justin Gordon, Spencer Collins and Fletcher Magee scored 14 points apiece for Wofford (10-13, 6-4).
Magee's 3-pointer gave the Terriers a 24-17 lead with 6:30 remaining in the first half. McLean and Tuoyo each scored seven points as part of a 19-4 run to give the Mocs a 36-28 halftime lead, and Chattanooga led the rest of the way.
Collins made a 3-pointer to pull the Terriers to 50-45. A 10-1 spurt pushed the Mocs' lead to 60-46 with nine minutes left.
