Hass leads Bucknell to 84-76 win over Army
WEST POINT, N.Y. -- Chris Hass scored a career-high 40 points to lead Bucknell to an 84-76 win over Army on Saturday.
Hass did it with 13-of-19 shooting from the field -- including four from distance -- and 10-of-12 shooting from the line for the Bison (5-8, 2-0 Patriot League). Ryan Frazier added 13 points and Dom Hoffman had nine.
Hass was perfect from the field in the first half, accounting for 32 of the Bucknell's 37 first-half points. He sank three consecutive 3-pointers late in the period that brought the Bison from a five-point deficit to a 31-27 lead with 3:50 left before halftime.
Army went ahead 42-39 early in the second half but the Bison responded with a 10-2 run to go back on top 49-44 with 15:42 to play and never trailed after that.
Tanner Plomb scored 23 points for the Black Knights (10-4, 1-1). Kevin Ferguson added 15 points and had 14 rebounds.
