Lynn scores 26 points, leads NJIT over Lipscomb 90-78
NASHVILLE, Tenn. -- Damon Lynn hit five three pointers and scored 26 points to lead NJIT to a 90-78 win over Lipscomb on Monday night.
Lynn also added five assists and five steals. Rob Ukawuba and Chris Jenkins both finished with 15 points for the Highlanders (13-11, 4-4 Atlantic Sun).
The Highlanders shot 47.6 percent from the field and hit 16 total 3-pointers. NJIT's 90 points scored fell two short of a season high, and was the fourth time it had reached the 90 point plateau this year.
David Wishon scored 24 points and grabbed seven rebounds for Lipscomb (7-18, 3-5). J.C. Hampton added 19 points for the Bisons, who have lost back-to-back games following a season-best three game win streak.
Jenkins hit a 3-pointer with 13 seconds left to give NJIT a 45-35 lead at the half. The Highlanders opened the second on a 16-6 run and cruised from there.
