Callandret, Idaho beats Cal State Bakersfield 67-63
MOSCOW, Idaho -- Perrion Callandret made 12 of 12 free throws and scored a career-high 26 points to help Idaho beat Cal State Bakersfield 67-63 on Wednesday night.
Callandret hit two free throws with 30 seconds left for a 63-57 lead. But the Vandals fouled Damiyne Durham on a deep 3-pointer from the wing and he converted the 4-point play to make it 63-61 with 19.6 seconds left. Callandret was fouled again and his free throws pushed it to a four-point advantage.
Brent Wrapp had a putback of a missed 3-pointer to make it 65-63, but Callandret sealed it with 12.4 left.
Callandret's performance from the stripe was the third best in Vandal history.
Chris Sarbaugh had a career-best 15 points for Idaho (5-3), while Victor Sanders added 10.
Durham made four 3-pointers and finished with 15 points for Cal State Bakersfield (3-3). Aly Ahmed had 13 points and seven rebounds.
