Pepperdine cruises to 98-4 win over San Francisco
SAN FRANCISCO -- Lamond Murray Jr. scored 29 points and hauled in nine rebounds to lead Pepperdine to a 98-84 win over San Francisco on Saturday.
Jeremy Major added 20 points, Stacy Davis had 12, Jett Raines 11 and Amadi Udenyi 10 for Pepperdine (11-7, 4-3 West Coast Conference), which shot 54 percent from the field and was 10 of 18 from long range. Murray sank four 3-pointers and was 10 for 19 from the field.
The Waves never trailed, scoring 20 of the game's first 25 points and carried a 51-28 advantage into the break.
A pair of free throws from Murray early in the second half marked the largest lead of the game, 61-30. Pepperdine finished with its highest score of the season and snapped a six-game losing streak on San Francisco's home court.
Ronnie Boyce III led the Dons (9-9, 3-5) with 25 points and Devin Watson added 20.
