McBroom leads Eastern Washington over San Francisco 81-77
SAN FRANCISCO -- Austin McBroom had 19 points and five assists and Eastern Washington beat San Francisco 81-77 on Tuesday night.
McBroom made five 3-pointers and finished on 6-of-12 shooting. Felix Von Hofe scored 20 points with four 3-pointers to lead Eastern Washington (4-3). Bogdan Bliznyuk had 17 points and Venky Jois chipped in 11.
Devin Watson scored 25 points for San Francisco (4-3).
Von Hofe scored eight points to open the second half and stretched the Eagles' 11-point halftime lead to 63-46.
The Eagles led 79-68 before Tim Derksen scored five points, sparking a 9-1 surge to pull the Dons to 80-77 with 50 seconds remaining.
The Dons' Mladen Djordjevic missed a 3-point attempt, and Dont'e Reynolds missed the tip in with 16 seconds left. Jois grabbed the carom, and McBroom made a free throw with seven seconds left to seal it.
