Arkansas-Little Rock cruises against Central Baptist, 76-57
LITTLE ROCK, Ark. -- Josh Hagins scored 12 points and dished out four assists, Lis Shoshi added 11 points and nine rebounds, and Arkansas-Little Rock beat Central Baptist College 76-57 in the season opener on Saturday.
Kemy Osse and Roger Woods each finished with 10 points for the Trojans, with Woods adding six boards.
Arkansas-Little Rock shot 46.7 percent from the field, held Central Baptist to just 37.3 percent, and forced 23 Mustangs turnovers.
The Trojans, who never trailed in the game, opened on a 12-3 run capped by a Jermaine Ruttley layup and led 43-32 at halftime. An Osse 3-pointer with 6:12 left pushed the lead to 24 (70-46), the highest mark of the game.
Jayln McBride scored a game high 16 points on 6 of 12 shooting to lead Central Baptist. Justin Harris added 11 points and five boards.
