Bisping scores 22 points as Siena beats Hofstra 81-68
ALBANY, N.Y. -- Brett Bisping scored 22 points and grabbed nine rebounds as Siena beat Hofstra 81-68 on Wednesday night.
Bisping was 7 of 15 from the field overall and 6 of 6 from the line for the Saints (6-4). Marquis Wright had 15 points with five assists and seven rebounds. Javion Ogunyemi added 12 points and Nico Clareth 10.
Wright went back-to-back with a jumper and a 3-pointer to cap a 12-3 run that gave Siena a 24-13 lead early in the first period and the Saints led 45-32 at halftime.
Hofstra closed the gap to 55-50 early in the second period but the Saints pulled away again and Bisping hit 4 of 4 from the line and sank a jumper in the stretch to seal the win for Siena.
Ameen Tanksley led the Pride (6-3) with 22 points and eight rebounds.
