Tulane beats Liberty 72-51 in Nashville
NASHVILLE, Tenn. -- Jernard Jarreau scored 15 points, Kain Harris had 13 and Tulane took a 72-51 victory over Liberty on Sunday at the Challenge in Music City.
Melvin Frazier added 11 points for the Green Wave (4-3), who have won two straight. Jarreau was 6 of 8 and Tulane shot 49 percent, including 8 of 18 from 3-point range with Harris hitting three from beyond the arc.
Evan Maxwell and Ezra Talbert had 12 points each for the Flames (3-4), who dropped their third straight at the tournament. Liberty shot 39 percent, though it made 8 of 19 3-pointers. The Flames committed 19 turnovers.
Tulane took its first lead at 21-19 with 7:53 left in the first half and were up by 10 at halftime. Frazier scored the first four points of the second half and a 9-0 run later put Tulane up 64-37.
