Bartley leads Saint Louis over UMass 86-75
AMHERST, Mass. -- Marcus Bartley scored a career-high 17 points and Saint Louis beat Massachusetts 86-75 on Saturday.
Bartley was 5-of-7 shooting, including three 3-pointers, for the Billikens (8-11, 3-4 Atlantic 10). Miles Reynolds added 14 points and eight assists and Brett Jolly scored 10 points. Bartley, Reynolds and Jolly came off the bench, which scored 46 points. Jermaine Bishop added 14 points and Reggie Agbeko had 10 rebounds.
Trey Davis was 10 of 16, including 6 of 8 on 3-pointers, and made 10 of 11 free throws, to lead the Minutemen (8-10, 1-5) with 36 points, his third 30-plus game this season.
Davis scored four points and Antwan Space followed with seven to close within 78-74 with 1:06 left. But Saint Louis made eight free throws, four by Bartley, to wrap up the win.
The game was tied at 48-all when Bartley hit two 3-pointers to start a 17-0 run.
