Presbyterian edges Radford 69-68 in nail-biter
CLINTON, S.C. -- DeSean Murray scored 22 points -- his 12th 20-point game this season and fifth in the last six games -- and though he missed the front end of a one-and-one with three seconds left, Presbyterian survived a nail-biter of a finish to edge Radford 69-68 Saturday night.
Reggie Dillard (10 points) broke a final 60-60 tie with a 3-pointer and Markus Terry (15) pushed the lead to 65-60 with a pair of free throws, enough cushion for Presbyterian (8-10, 3-4 Big South) to beat Radford for the first time since 2012.
Justin Cousin came off the bench to drill back-to-back 3-pointers that pulled Radford (10-9, 3-4) into a 42-42 tie with 14 minutes left and, from there Radford tied the game eight times and held a brief 51-49 lead.
Rashun Davis hit a 3-pointer at four seconds, and his half-court shot at the buzzer banged off the front rim after Murray's missed free throw.
