UCF Knights @ Stetson Hatters
UCF gets first road win in 94-85 triumph over Stetson
DELAND, Fla. -- Tacko Fall scored 23 points, grabbed 10 rebounds, and had three blocks to lead Central Florida to a 94-85 victory over Stetson on Wednesday night.
Fall finished 11 of 11 from the field and hit his only free-throw attempt. Chance McSpadden added 21 points for UCF (2-3).
Stetson (3-5) led virtually the entire first half, but two Fall baskets in the final 1:35 gave UCF a 39-38 lead at the break. Fall's 3-point play with 10:02 left pushed the Knights' lead to 10 (65-55), the first double-digit lead of the game.
The Hatters fought back, however, trimming the lead to 77-76 after a Derick Newton layup with 3:16 to go. But UCF outscored Stetson 17-9 down the stretch, highlighted by 8-of-8 shooting at the foul line in the final 30 seconds.
Grant Lozoya had 20 points for Stetson.
