Maine beats Hartford 105-100 in overtime
WEST HARTFORD, Conn. -- Aaron Calixte scored 23 points and Till Gloger 22, both career highs, and Maine rallied from a seven-point deficit in overtime to beat Hartford 105-100 on Wednesday night.
Gloger was 10 of 14 from the floor and Calixte 8 of 14 for the Black Bears (7-13, 3-4 America East). Kevin Little added 16 points and Devine Eke made all six of his shots and scored 13 points while grabbing 11 rebounds.
Trailing 95-88 with under three minutes remaining in overtime, the Black Bears scored the next 12 points capped by back-to-back 3-pointers by Little and Shaun Lawton to take a 100-95 lead with 1:17 remaining.
Pancake Thomas made a free throw for Hartford but Troy Reid-Knight put in a bucket and Calixte added two free throws for an eight-point cushion that proved enough with 34 seconds left.
Thomas had four 3-pointers and 29 points for Hartford (7-15, 2-5). Evan Cooper added 15.
