Crook's 22 leads Seattle past Mississippi Valley State 84-72
SEATTLE -- Jack Crook scored a career-high 22 points and grabbed eight rebounds, and Seattle beat Mississippi Valley State 84-72 on Sunday night to extend the Delta Devils' losing streak to 10 games.
Seattle trailed 50-44 before going on a 16-1 run -- capped by Brendan Westendorf's back-to-back 3-pointers.
Manroop Clair made six 3-pointers and also scored a career-best 22 points for Seattle (3-5). Westendorf had 18 points, six rebounds and nine assists as the Redhawks had 25 assists on 32 field goals.
Crook was 8-of-11 shooting in the first half for 16 points. Clair added four 3-pointers to help Seattle hold a 35-32 lead at halftime. Mississippi Valley State stayed close by making 7 of 8 free throws compared to Seattle's 0 for 3.
Damian Young hit four 3-pointers and had 22 points for Mississippi Valley State (0-10). Marcus Romain had 17 points and 10 rebounds, and Latrell Love added 14 points.
