Wright's career day leads Dartmouth past LIU Brooklyn 79-56
HANOVER, N.H. -- Miles Wright set a career high for points, made baskets and made 3-pointers, scoring 39 points, and Dartmouth cruised past LIU Brooklyn 79-56 on Sunday.
Wright finished 13-of-22 shooting with seven 3s and went 6 of 7 from the line on his career day, adding six rebounds and three steals. Evan Boudreaux had 13 points while Connor Boehm added 11 points and 11 rebounds.
The Big Green (1-2) raced to a 17-6 lead after Wright's 3-pointer early in the first half. The Blackbirds clawed back, and Fleming's 3 with 3:20 in the frame put LIU up 25-24. Wright got a layup, and then made 1 of 2 from the line to put Dartmouth up 30-27 at intermission.
Dartmouth used an 8-2 run at the start of the second to wrest control of the game.
Martin Hermannsson led LIU Brooklyn (3-2) with 15 points and six rebounds. Iverson Fleming had 14 points and Aakim Saintil added 11.
