Richmond beats Longwood 77-59
RICHMOND, Va. -- T.J. Cline scored 18 points with six assists and five rebounds to lead Richmond to a 77-59 win over Longwood on Saturday night.
Cline was 6 of 8 from the field including two 3-pointers for the Spiders (6-3). Terry Allen added 16 points and nine rebounds, ShawnDre' Jones had 12 points and Marshall Wood had 11.
Richmond led by a point midway through the first half but Longwood scored just two points in the final eight minutes of the first half, allowing the Spiders to build a 37-22 lead by halftime.
Jones opened the second half with a 3-pointer to spark a 10-2 run that extended the Spiders lead to 47-24 with 15:43 to play and they cruised to the win.
Kanayo Obi-Rapu led the Lancers (3-7) with 17 points. Shaquille Johnson added 10 points and 11 rebounds.
