FARMVILLE, Va. -- Shaquille Johnson scored 14 points and grabbed 12 rebounds to help Longwood pound Division III Cairn University 90-52 Monday night.

Johnson had five assists and was 7 of 12 from the field. Khris Lane had 16 points and eight boards, while Lotanna Nwogbo scored 14 Darrion Allen added 12 points. Allen had four steals. Longwood (4-10) shot over 56 percent and outrebounded Cairn 51-25.

Cairn was led by Gerroid Doughty II with 17 points. JD Zamroz added 10 points.

Longwood fell behind early, a Doughty's 3-pointer gave Cairn a 6-4 lead. It's the last lead they'd hold, though, as a 12-2 run put Longwood up 16-8. Chris Shields hit a 3-pointer with 7:49 left in the first to increase the Lancers' lead to 28-15. Cairn closed the half with a 9-2 run and Longwood led by seven at intermission.

Longwood scored the first 16 points of the second half and the rout was on.
