RICHMOND, Ky. -- Ryan Weber scored 17 points and grabbed six rebounds as Ball State beat Longwood 78-67 on Saturday night.
Franko House added 14 point and six rebounds for the Cardinals (2-2). Bo Calhoun and Francis Kiapway had eight apiece. The team averaged 45.3 percent from the field, 85.7 percent from the line and had a 38-28 rebounding edge over the Lancers (2-2).
The Cardinals trailed early on, going ahead 20-18 on a 3-pointer by Kiapway with 7:21 left in the period and they led 32-31 at the break.
Longwood kept pace in the second half until Weber and House combined on a 9-4 run to extend the Cardinals lead to 66-59 with 4:20 to play and they held on for the win.
Kanayo Obi-Rapu led the Lancers with 21 points. Khris Lane added 18 points.
