PRINCESS ANNE, Md. -- Marcus Gilbert made five 3-pointers and scored a career-high 32 points, Tyler Nelson had 20 points, eight rebounds and nine assists, and Fairfield beat Maryland Eastern Shore 113-74 on Tuesday night.
Gilbert added seven rebounds and Nelson made four of the Stags' 17 3-pointers.
Fairfield went on a 14-0 run in the first half to push its lead to 28-12 and extended it to 35 points, 89-54, with eight minutes remaining.
Jerry Johnson added 19 points and five steals for Fairfield (2-3). The Stags made 57 percent of their shots, including 17 of 41 from 3-point range.
Fairfield's previous scoring high during Sydney Johnson's five years as coach was 85 points.
Devin Martin led Maryland Eastern Shore (0-4) with 15 points and Dontae Caldwell added 13. The Hawks were held to 22-of-65 shooting (34 percent), including 4 of 27 from distance.
