Marist pulls away early in 2nd half to beat Quinnipiac 91-77
POUGHKEEPSIE, N.Y. -- Khallid Hart scored 21 points, Brian Parker added 20 and Marist rolled to a 91-77 victory over Quinnipiac on Friday night.
Hart was 6 of 10 from the field and made 7 of 9 free throws, and is four free throws away from breaking the single-season program record of 168 set by Izett Buchanan.
Kentrall Brooks chipped in 16 points for the Red Foxes (7-22, 4-16 Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference), who have won two straight since snapping a five-game skid.
Daniel Harris made four 3-pointers and finished with 16 points to lead Quinnipiac (9-19, 6-13).
The game was tied at 16 before Hart scored five straight points and spark the Red Foxes to a 42-36 halftime lead. Hart scored 10 points and Parker had eight in the first half.
Marist stretched its lead to 51-41 and had a double-digit lead for nearly the rest of the way.
