LOGAN, Utah -- Paul Miller and Dexter Werner scored 16 points apiece, A.J. Jacobson added 15, and North Dakota State beat Texas-Rio Grande Valley 68-50 on Tuesday at the Global Sports Hoops Showcase.
Miller and Jacobson each had a pair of 3-pointers, and Miller grabbed nine rebounds for the Bison (8-3).
J.J. Thompson, Dan Kimasa and Antonio Green all had 12 points apiece for Rio Grande Valley (3-8). The Vaqueros were held to 35 percent shooting and made just 3 of 12 from beyond the arc.
Rio Grande Valley led most of the first half and was up 25-19 with 5:08 in the half. The Bison closed the half with a 13-3 run, including Miller's 3-pointer with 1:14 left, and led 32-28 at the break.
It was all North Dakota State in the second half. The Bison opened the half with an 11-2 run and never looked back.
