Reggie Upshaw scores career-high 32 in Middle Tennessee win
MURFREESBORO, Tenn. -- Reggie Upshaw had a career-high 32 points and 12 rebounds on Wednesday night and Middle Tennessee beat Trevecca Nazarene 82-67.
Upshaw was 3 of 4 from 3-point range and 13 of 16 overall from the field. Edward Simpson added 11 points and Perrin Buford had nine points and 10 rebounds.
Middle Tennessee (8-4) pulled away for good with a 27-12 run that covered the middle of the second half and ended at 74-54 with 3:58 left. With the victory, the Blue Raiders bounced back from a two-game losing streak.
Byron Sanford had 20 points and 11 rebounds and Mac Walden added 10 points with 2-for-3 3-point shooting for the Division II Trojans. Trevecca Nazarene fell behind 23 points late in the first half and closed with an 11-1 run to go into the break trailing 38-25. They got as close as 47-42 in the second half.
