Cosby leads Western Kentucky over NAIA's Brescia 93-66
BOWLING GREEN, Ky. -- Aaron Cosby nailed six shots from beyond the arc and scored 20 points to lead Western Kentucky to a 93-66 win over NAIA's Brescia on Monday night.
Justin Johnson made 7 of 9 from the floor for 15 points and Marlon Hunter added 13 points for Western Kentucky (8-5). Ben Lawson chipped in nine points and had six blocks.
The Hilltoppers, who have won five of their last seven games, will now turn their attention to their second season in Conference USA when they face Marshall on Sunday.
Brescia led early but the Hilltoppers charged back to go ahead 45-39 at the break. Johnson slammed home a dunk to start the second half during an 18-4 run and Western Kentucky led 63-43 at the 14:06 mark. Brescia was limited to just 27 points in the second half.
Austin Morris and Trey Howard had 15 apiece for Brescia.
