Detroit romps to 80-66 win over Milwaukee
DETROIT -- Paris Bass scored 24 points and collected 10 rebounds, Carlton Brundidge added 16 and 12, and Detroit shot better than 53 percent en route to an 80-66 win over Milwaukee on Saturday.
Chris Jenkins had 17 points and made 5 of 7 3-pointers for Detroit, (13-12, 7-7 Horizon League), including four in the first half as the Titans jumped out to a 44-29 lead at intermission. Brundidge's 12 rebounds marked a career high on the way to his first career double-double.
Detroit has won four of five after a six-game losing skid.
Milwaukee (16-10, 7-6) closed to within nine points twice in the second half, but both charges were squashed by Detroit, and the Panthers could never mount a serious comeback attempt.
Matt Tiby led Milwaukee with 22 points on 6-of-14 shooting. His teammates combined to make just 15 of 50 from the field.
