Green Bay comes on in 2nd half, beats Minnesota-Duluth 94-74
GREEN BAY, Wis. -- Carrington Love scored 22 points -- his third game with 22 or more points this season -- and Green Bay rode an explosive second half to a 94-74 victory over Division II Minnesota-Duluth on Sunday.
Love, who scored 32 against Stanford in the season opener, also scored 22 points against East Tennessee State. He shot 7-for-16 from the floor with three 3-pointers, and had five steals.
Tevin Findlay and Jordan Fouse scored 15 points each for the Phoenix (1-3) -- Findlay going 3-for-3 from 3-point range, Fouse adding eight rebounds -- and Khalil Small added 11 points.
Pierre Newton led the Bulldogs with 24 points and 11 rebounds. The Bulldogs led 39-38 at halftime.
Fouse converted a 3-point play that lifted Green Bay into a 49-46 lead with 14:44 left to play, and the Phoenix went on a 9-0 run over the next 2:51 to lead 58-46 and take control.
