Youngstown State cruises past Division III Geneva 99-58
YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio -- Sidney Umude scored a career-high 21 points, Matt Donlan added 15, and Youngstown State cruised past Division III Geneva 99-58 on Tuesday night, beating the Golden Tornadoes for the 16th straight time.
Cameron Morse scored 14 on 5-of-11 shooting, Francisco Santiago contributed eight assists, and Jordan Andrews had a career-high six steals for the Penguins (5-6), who never trailed and made 28 steals.
Bobby Hain scored eight points in an 18-0 run the Penguins used to open the second half and Youngstown State led 91-52 with 6:56 left after Andrews hit a 3-pointer.
Umude opened the game with a dunk and a jumper and Youngstown State pulled away 20-6. Then Morse made back-to-back 3-pointers amid a 9-2 run and the Penguins led 49-30 at halftime.
Chaese Vaudrin scored 22 points for Geneva (0-8), which made only 3 of 24 3-pointers and was hurt by 32 turnovers.
