Cook, Caruso lead Princeton to 83-62 win over Harvard
PRINCETON, N.J. -- Steven Cook had 21 points and Henry Caruso had 19, hitting four 3-pointers apiece, and Princeton rolled to an 83-62 win over Harvard on Friday night.
The duo each hit the only trey they took in the first half and combined for just 14 points but the Tigers (13-5, 3-1 Ivy League) raced to a 38-22 lead as Devin Cannady had 12 of his 14 points before the break.
Princeton then made 19 of 35 shots in the second half, including seven 3s.
Harvard (9-12, 1-4) closed within 50-40 with 13:19 left but Caruso answered with a 3. After a pair of Harvard free throws, Caruso made another 3, followed by 3s from Spencer Weisz and Steven Cook to make it 62-42. The Tigers added two more buckets before the Crimson scored. Harvard went 4:29 without a basket.
Tommy McCarthy had 16 points and Agunwa Okolie 14 for Harvard.
