Yale wins 12th straight, beats Harvard 67-55
BOSTON -- Justin Sears had 21 points, Makai Mason added 15 and Yale extended its already historic run to 12 straight wins by topping Harvard 67-55 Saturday night.
The Bulldogs (17-5, 8-0 Ivy League) tied the program's longest winning streak since 1948-49 and moved one short of the school record (13) set in 1906-07.
Yale also won its third-consecutive trip to Harvard's Lavietes Pavilion. Nick Victor added seven points, 12 rebounds and six assists and Anthony Dallier scored 10.
Mason capped the first-half scoring with a 3-pointer at 37-26 and Yale's lead never dropped into single digits in the second half. The Bulldogs took the lead for good during an 8-0 run in the first half that made it 24-17.
Zena Edosomwan had 18 points and 10 rebounds and Corey Johnson added 14 points for Harvard (10-14, 2-6), which had an 8-0 run to get within 10 late in the second half.
