ORANGEBURG, S.C. -- Ed Stephens scored 23 points and South Carolina State defeated North Carolina Central 91-75 on Saturday.
Stephens was 7 of 12 from the floor and 5 of 8 from beyond the arc. Tashombe Riley scored 20 points on 8-of-13 shooting, as the Bulldogs (7-10, 2-1 Mid-Eastern) shot over 63 percent overall and made 12 of 22 3-point attempts. Gabe McCray added 15 points and Eric Eaves had 13.
