TERRE HAUTE, Ind. -- Devonte Brown scored 20 points and grabbed a career-high 10 rebounds and Indiana State beat Division II Illinois-Springfield 75-60 on Wednesday night.

Matt Van Scyoc scored 20 points on 8-of-8 shooting, including all four of his four 3-point attempts, for Indiana State (4-6). Everett Clemons had five assists and grabbed 11 rebounds, and the Sycamores outrebounded the Prairie Stars 49-29, scoring 11 second-chance points on 12 offensive rebounds.

Up 36-27 at halftime, Van Scyoc hit back-to-back 3s and the Sycamores pulled ahead 46-31 and later went on a 10-4 run. Brenton Scott kicked off a 13-3 run with two free throws and a 3-pointer and Indiana State was up 73-57 with 2:02 left.

Indiana State shot 9 of 20 (45 percent) from beyond the 3-point arc.

Richard Freeman led Illinois-Springfield with 11 points.
