SMITHFIELD, R.I. -- Trevin Woods scored a career-high 20 points and LIU Brooklyn dispatched Bryant 79-61 on Saturday.
Woods was 6 of 10 from beyond the arc with five rebounds for the Blackbirds (9-8, 3-3 Northeast). Aakim Saintil scored 16 points, Joel Hernandez had 15, and Jerome Frink added 12 points and seven boards. Martin Hermannsson had eight assists to go with 11 points. LIU Brooklyn shot over 49 percent and made 10 of 25 from beyond the arc.
Bryant (7-12, 4-2) was led by Marcel Pettway with 20 points and 10 rebounds. Hunter Ware had 14 points -- despite 4-of-16 shooting -- and Nisre Zouzoua added 13.
LIU Brooklyn made 3-pointers on four consecutive possessions midway through the first half -- three by Woods -- and the Blackbirds turned a 19-all tie into a 44-28 advantage at the break.
Bryant cut it to nine points twice early in the second, but got no closer.
