Mount St. Mary's coasts to 70-49 win over Robert Morris
EMMITSBURG, Md. -- BK Ashe scored 19 points on 8-for-13 shooting to lead Mount St. Mary's to a 70-49 win over Robert Morris on Thursday night.
Will Miller added 14 points, Junior Robinson had 11 and Chris Wray 10 for Mount St. Mary's (10-12, 7-2 Northeast Conference), which has won four of their past five games.
The Mountaineers broke away early in the first half with a 12-0 run that included 3-pointers from Robinson, Miller and Ashe to make it 24-8, and they carried a 32-23 advantage into the break. The second half opened with a quick 7-0 spurt from Mount St. Mary's to pad the lead that wasn't threated the rest of the way.
Rodney Pryor led Robert Morris (6-16, 4-5) with 11 points, while Matty McConnell and Isaiah Still added 10 apiece. The Colonials hit just 1 of 14 from long range and were outrebounded 36-26.
