Coastal Carolina outlasts Wofford 71-63
SPARTANBURG, S.C. -- Shivaughn Wiggins scored 14 points and Coastal Carolina outlasted Wofford 71-63 on Monday night.
Coastal Carolina built a 14-point halftime lead and saw it dwindle to three with just under five minutes remaining, but the Chanticleers (6-4) made 9 of 14 from the line down the stretch to hang on.
Wiggins made 9 of 12 free throw attempts and had four assists. Badou Diagne had 13 points and seven rebounds, and Michel Enanga added 10 points. Coastal Carolina was 7 of 11 from beyond the arc and shot over 58 percent overall.
Wofford (3-6) was led by Eric Garcia with 18 points, who was perfect on 10 attempts from the line. Fletcher Magee scored 14 points with three 3-pointers and Spencer Collins chipped in with 10 points. The Terriers had seven steals and just five turnovers, but were outrebounded 35-25.
