Pryor leads Robert Morris past LIU Brooklyn 74-67
MOON TOWNSHIP, Pa. -- Rodney Pryor scored 24 points and grabbed nine rebounds in a 74-67 win over LIU Brooklyn on Thursday night.
Pryor became the 24th player in Colonials history to score more than 1,000 points in his career. Pryor was one rebound away from becoming the first Colonial to record four-straight double-doubles since A.J. Jackson in January 2006.
Iverson Fleming made two free throws to give the Blackbirds a 58-57 lead with 3:02 left to play, but the Colonials proceeded to outscore LIU Brooklyn 17-9 down the stretch.
Steven Whitley scored 16 points, Kavon Stewart added 13 points and eight assists and Billy Giles finished with 11 points on 5-for-6-shooting for Robert Morris.
Martin Hermannsson led LIU Brooklyn with 18 points and five assists and Fleming added 12 points.
Robert Morris (9-19, 7-8 Northeast) committed just eight turnovers to 19 for LIU Brooklyn (13-13, 7-8).
