Guyn has 20 points in ETSU's 71-60 win over VMI

LEXINGTON, Va. -- Ge'Lawn Guyn scored 20 points and East Tennessee State defeated VMI 71-60 on Thursday night.

Guyn was 8 of 18, including three 3-pointers for the Buccaneers (14-9, 7-3 Southern). Desonta Bradford made all seven of his free throws and scored 14 points.

ETSU beat VMI (6-15, 1-9) at home 88-51 on Jan. 11 when the Bucs made 15 3-pointers. On Thursday, they were 9 of 23 from the arc but outrebounded the Keydets 41-31 and outscored them 26-18 in the paint.

VMI built an 11-point lead before ETSU finished the first half on a 15-2 run. The Keydets tied the game at the start of the second half but the Bucs built a lead from there with a 10-0 run with 4:16 left giving them a 15-point lead, and VMI could only get as close as seven.

QJ Peterson and Julian Eleby each had four 3-pointers and 18 points.
