NASHVILLE, Tenn. -- Keron Deshields scored 14 points and Tennessee State had points from 11 players to post a 66-52 win over Austin Peay to stay unbeaten in Ohio Valley Conference play Thursday night.
Tennessee State (13-4, 4-0) built a 29-22 lead at intermission, then opened the second half on an 11-3 run over the first five minutes to take a 42-25 lead.
Wayne Martin added 10 points and 10 rebounds for Tennessee State, which shot 27 of 52 from the field (52 percent), including 4 of 16 from beyond the arc and with 28 points from its bench.
The Governors (8-11, 1-3) had 17 points and eight rebounds from Chris Horton, and John Murry added 10 points off the bench. Austin Peay shot 19 of 54 from the field (35 percent), including 4 of 18 from long distance.
