Morehead State rallies to beat UT Martin 64-58
MOREHEAD, Ky. -- Corban Collins scored 13 points, Brent Arrington added 12 with seven assists, and Morehead State beat UT Martin 64-58 on Saturday, ending the Skyhawks' seven-game win streak.
Lamontray Harris scored a season-high 11 points and the Eagles (8-7, 2-1 Ohio Valley) outrebounded the Skyhawks 54-38, led by DeJuan Marrero and Anthony Elechi with 10 apiece.
Trailing 28-22 at halftime, the Skyhawks rallied to a 36-32 lead on a 14-4 run in which Twymond Howard scored eight points. Ronnye Beamon tied it at 40 with a jumper and the Eagles pushed to a 45-42 lead after an 11-2 run.
Kedar Edwards pulled the Skyhawks within 48-47 with a 3-pointer, but the Eagles again pulled away and led 57-52 after a 3 by Beamon. Jacolby Mobley's layup with 11 seconds left drew UT Martin within 62-58. Arrington sealed it with two free throws.
Howard scored 22 and Edwards 15 for UT Matrin (9-8, 1-1).
