Edwards powers UT Martin's 77-64 win over SE Missouri State
MARTIN, Tenn. -- Kedar Edwards had 10 points and a career-high 21 rebounds, Twymond Howard scored 19 and UT Martin beat SE Missouri State 77-64 for its fourth straight win on Thursday night.
UT Martin closed the first half with a 14-3 run to lead 35-27 at halftime and stretched it to 60-35.
The Skyhawks (14-12, 6-5 Ohio Valley) then missed 10 straight field goals while the Redhawks (5-20, 2-10) scored 14 straight and pushed as close as 66-58 with 3:47 left. But UT Martin answered with six straight and led and by double digits the rest of the way.
Jacolby Mobley scored 15 and Alex Anderson added 14 points. Edwards had seven offensive rebounds, as many as SE Missouri State.
Isiah Jones led the Redhawks with 19 points and eight rebounds. Antonius Cleveland added 16 points and Jamaal Calvin 12. The Redhawks lost their fourth straight following a three-game winning streak.
