Arkansas-Pine Bluff edges Prairie View 45-44
PRAIRIE VIEW, Texas -- Ghiavonni Robinson scored 11 points, Charles Jackson hit the game-winning free throw and Arkansas-Pine Bluff beat Prairie View A&M 45-44 on Saturday night for the Panthers' fourth straight loss.
Tevin Bellinger put Prairie View on top 42-41 with a jumper with 1:33 left. Robinson tied it at 42 with a free throw, then JoVaughn Love fouled Bellinger, who made two free throws with 10 seconds left.
Jackson tied it at 44 with a jumper, then Prairie View's bench was called for a technical foul and Jackson made one of two free throws.
Bellinger missed a potential game-winning layup with one second left.
Love and Marquis Cunningham added 11 apiece and the Golden Lions (4-16, 2-4 Southwestern Athletic Conference) led 25-15 at halftime.
Prairie View rallied to a 35-33 lead, but Robinson tied it at 37 with a 3-pointer to spark at 7-0 run and a UAPB 41-37.
Bellinger led Prairie View (1-17, 1-5) with 17.
