Wyoming subdues Bristol in dominant 101-62 win
LARAMIE, Wyo. -- Alexander Aka Gorski scored 18 points as Wyoming dismantled Bristol (CA) 101-62 in the season opener for both teams Friday night.
Gorski was 5 for 7 from the field, 3 for 4 from 3-point range and 5 for 6 from the charity stripe. He was one of five Cowboys to score in double figures.
Jason McManamen had 14, while Morris Marshall, Trey Washington III and Justin James had 14, 13 and 11 respectively for Wyoming.
The Cowboys dominated the boards with a 46-33 edge and made 31 of 56 field goals (55.4 percent).
Bristol shot 33.8 percent overall and went 6 for 13 from the free-throw line.
DeVontae Bryant was 6 for 7 from the field for Bristol and finished with 17 points and five steals. Tade Keshishyan added 15 points for the Bears.
