Florida State beats Ohio 90-81 for 4th place in Paradise Jam
ST. THOMAS, U.S. Virgin Islands -- Dwayne Bacon scored 25 points, Malik Beasley added 22 and Florida State beat Ohio 90-81 on Monday night in the fourth-place game of the Paradise Jam.
Bacon was 9 of 15 from the field and Beasley made eight of his 10 shots.
Florida State jumped out to a 16-4 lead and built a 45-38 lead by halftime. The Seminoles sealed it by making 15 of 16 free throws in the final 5:54.
Boris Bojanovsky and Xavier Rathan-Mayes added 14 points apiece for Florida State (4-1), which shot 54 percent from the field. The Seminoles also made 23 of 31 free throws.
It was coach Leonard Hamilton's 240th win at Florida State, moving him into a tie for 10th place for career wins in ACC history.
Jordan Dartis paced Ohio (3-2) with 24 points. Kenny Kaminski added 18 points and Antonio Campbell had 17 points and 11 rebounds.
