WASHINGTON -- James Daniel had 15 of his 23 points in the first half and Howard beat Florida A&M 63-53 to snap a two-game skid on Wednesday night.
Tyler Stone added 11 points and 12 rebounds, Kofi Andoh had 10 points and Marcel Boyd had 14 rebounds and a career-high eight blocks for the Bison (12-17, 6-8 Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference), who outrebounded Florida A&M 42-27.
Howard scored the first 13 points and led the entire way.
K'Ja Johnson had 11 points for the Rattlers (8-19, 4-10), who rallied with a 16-3 run in the first half to get the deficit down to one. The Rattlers were held to 9-of-27 shooting in the first half and finished at 36.5 percent.
Howard scored the next seven points to lead 24-16 and kept its lead in double digits for most of the second half after extending to 34-23 by halftime.
