North Florida rolls over USC Upstate 92-69
JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- Dallas Moore led three players with 20-plus points and top-seeded North Florida rolled over No. 8 seed South Carolina Upstate 92-69 on Tuesday night in an Atlantic Sun tournament quarterfinal.
North Florida (22-10) will face fourth-seeded Florida Gulf Coast (18-13), winners over Kennesaw State, in the quarterfinals on Thursday.
Moore scored 22 points on 9-of-12 shooting with seven assists for the Ospreys, who shot over 56 percent. Trent Mackey and Chris Davenport both scored 20 points, and Beau Beech added 14 points with 10 rebounds.
South Carolina Upstate (10-22) was led by Mike Cunningham with 17 points. Deion Holmes had 15 points and Michael Buchanan added 11 points with eight rebounds.
North Florida led by seven at intermission, 47-40, and a seven-point spurt early in the second half made it 58-44. A 10-point run later sealed it and UNF coasted from there.
