LYNCHBURG, Va. -- Devin Sibley and Daniel Fowler scored 14 points apiece and Furman beat Liberty 61-58 on Tuesday night.

Fowler missed a floater in the lane with 36 seconds left but Kris Acox grabbed the offensive rebound and put it in for a 57-53 lead.

Caleb Homesley hit two free throws with 27.8 seconds left to pull Liberty to 57-55. Furman turned it over on its next possession and Liberty set up a play with 24.2 seconds left but John Dawson missed a corner 3-pointer. Sibley gave Furman a four-point lead with two free throws with 16.8 seconds left.

Dawson sank a 3-pointer with 11.2 seconds left to get within 59-58. But Fowler made two free throws with eight seconds left and Homesley missed a long 3-pointer just before the buzzer.

Jordan Lyons made three 3-pointers and scored 10 points for Furman (5-4).

Ryan Kemrite led Liberty (4-5) with 18 points. Dawson added 11 points and Georgie Pacheco-Ortiz 10.
