Oral Roberts snaps skid with 74-68 win over IUPUI
INDIANAPOLIS -- Aaron Anderson scored 18 points with 5-for-8 shooting and Oral Roberts snapped a five-game skid with a 74-68 win over IUPUI on Saturday night.
Kris Martin and Albert Owens added 16 points apiece for Oral Roberts (8-19, 4-9 Summit League) and Jalen Bradley had 13. The Golden Eagles shot 60 percent from the field in the first half and 10 of 23 overall, hitting eight of their 15 shots from 3-point range.
Leading by 11 at the break, Oral Roberts opened the second half with a pair of free throws from Bradley to capture its largest advantage of the game, 44-31, and then hung on as IUPUI twice closed to within three late in the game.
Darell Combs led IUPUI (11-15, 5-7) with 18 points on 8-for-14 shooting. Aaron Brennan added 14 and Kellon Thomas had 11 for the Jaguars, which outscored Oral Roberts 37-32 over the final 20 minutes.
