St. Bonaventure slips past Army for 92-83 win
SAINT BONAVENTURE, N.Y. -- Jaylen Adams scored 31 points to tie his career high and dished out 10 assists to lead St. Bonaventure to a 92-83 win over Army on Monday night.
Adams hit 7 of 12 from the field, sank 14 of his 17 free throws, and became the 43rd player in St. Bonaventure history to reach 1,000 career points. He entered the game 14 shy of the milestone and reached it late in the first half with a 3-pointer.
Denzell Gregg added 20 points and 10 rebounds, David Andoh had 15 points and Matt Mobley 12 for the Bonnies (8-3), who shot 54 percent from the field.
Tied at 43 at the break, St. Bonaventure took control late in the second half with 9-0 spurt fueled by Adams and Gregg to make it 85-75 with 1:39 left.
Jordan Fox led Army (5-6) with 22 points, Matthew Wilson added 20 and Luke Morrison 12.
