Petrasek, Hickman lead Columbia to 81-78 OT win over Colgate
NEW YORK -- Luke Petrasek scored seven of his 24 points in overtime, Nate Hickman added 13 points -- including the winning 3 -- and Columbia slipped past Colgate 81-78 on Saturday.
Petrasek hit 3-of-4 3-pointers and grabbed nine rebounds, Hickman had eight boards and Lukas Meisner had 13 points and eight rebounds for Columbia (3-2), which never trailed.
Petrasek converted a 3-point play and then hit two free throws to make it 74-69 midway through overtime. He added two more free throws to make it a three-point game with 15 seconds left but Nathan Harries hit a 3-pointer to tie it two seconds later. Hickman's 3 sealed it with three seconds to go.
Colgate's Sean O'Brien hit a 3-pointer with five seconds left in regulation to force OT.
Jordan Swopshire hit five 3s, scored a career-high 26 points and had nine rebounds for the Raiders (1-4). Harries -- who came in with 57-career points including 11 this season -- scored 19.
