Bucknell wins 5th straight, tops Army 96-75
WEST POINT, N.Y. -- Kimbal Mackenzie scored 23 points, Nana Foulland tallied 19 points and seven rebounds, and Bucknell registered its highest point total of the season with a 96-75 win over Army on Saturday.
Zach Thomas scored 17 points and added six boards and six assists for the Bison, who maintained a two-game lead in the Patriot League with their fifth straight win and ninth in their last 10 contests.
Bucknell (17-6, 9-1) raced to a 10-2 lead en route to a 52-36 advantage at halftime, the most points scored in any half by the Bison this season. They shot 19 of 29 from the field before the break (65.5 percent) and 6 of 9 from behind the arc.
Army (8-14, 2-8) cut it to 54-45 early in the second half, but Thomas converted a 3-point play on the Bison's next possession and the lead remained in double figures the rest of the way.
Thomas Funk led the Black Knights with 14 points, and Mac Hoffman and Jason Houle each scored 12.
