Fairleigh Dickinson beats CCSU 79-62 to end 3-game skid
TEANECK, N.J. -- Earl Potts Jr. had four 3-pointers, 21 points, five rebounds and four steals to help Fairleigh Dickinson snap a three-game losing streak with a 79-62 victory over Central Connecticut State on Thursday night.
FDU had a 46-31 lead at halftime after making eight 3-pointers. The Knights finished 11 of 23 from distance and Potts' give-and-go alley-oop dunk from Darnell Edge made it 77-53 with just under five minutes left.
Edge and Malik Miller each added 13 points for Fairleigh Dickinson (11-13, 9-4 Northeast). Stephan Jiggetts had 10 points and nine assists, and Edge added seven helpers.
Mustafa Jones led CCSU (5-19, 3-10) with 15 points and seven rebounds. Eric Bowles and Tidell Pierre each added 11 points but the Blue Devils were just 3 of 14 from 3-point range and 9 of 21 at the free-throw line.
CCSU was coming off a 54-52 win over Mount St. Mary's but the Blue Devils haven't won back-to-back games all season.
