Francis, Henson lead Wagner past St. Francis Brooklyn 73-55
NEW YORK -- Blake Francis scored 17 points, Corey Henson had 15 and Wagner cruised to a 73-55 win over St. Francis Brooklyn on Saturday.
JoJo Cooper had 14 points and Mike Aaman 11 for the Seahawks (14-12, 10-6 Northeast Conference), who have won five of six. Devin Liggeons had 12 rebounds for Wagner, which had a 51-33 rebounding advantage with the Terriers shooting just 32 percent (18 of 57).
Cooper had 12 points in the first half when Wagner opened a 42-32 lead. Aaman had two baskets in an early 10-0 run that made it 17-7. The lead reached 15 before a late 7-2 run by the Terriers.
After Glenn Sanabria scored for St. Francis Brooklyn to open the second half to make it an eight-point game, an 11-2 burst -- five from Francis and four by Henson -- took the suspense out.
Sanabria had 12 points for the Terriers (4-25, 2-14), who have lost 14 straight.
